California Assembly Bill 481 requires law enforcement agencies to obtain approval of the applicable governing body (Board of Supervisors) by adoption of a military equipment use policy prior to taking certain actions relating to the funding, acquisition, or use of military equipment as defined by the legislature.

Members of the public can submit a question, concern, or complaint regarding the District Attorney’s Offices’ military equipment. Questions about military equipment can be submitted by emailing email@example.com.
Complaints about military equipment listed in the linked Military Equipment Inventory and Directive can be made using our Citizen Complaint Form. Complaint forms are available at the public counters of all District Attorney buildings or online at here. Completed forms may either be delivered, or mailed to:
