Community Relations Council

District Attorney Thien Ho is committed to representing and serving all communities in Sacramento County.  His commitment has inspired the creation of the “Community Relations Council,” which will act as an advisory board to the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office.

The Council will bring together the County’s diverse population to identify and address public safety concerns relevant to their specific communities.  With this collaboration, we hope to foster transparency, increase community engagement, and strengthen public trust.

We have outlined the framework and structure of how the council will operate.

Community Advisory Team (CAT)/Council Duties:

  • Community Advisory Teams (CAT) will be made up of community members willing to serve for 2 years.
  • CAT members will meet regularly to discuss and determine what public safety issues affect their specific community.
  • CAT members will meet their DA’s Community and Media Relation Team every other month to discuss their progress and concerns.
  • As community liaisons to the District Attorney’s Office, CAT members will select one representative to meet with the District Attorney quarterly to discuss progress and recommendations to address their various concerns.
  • The council representative will serve for a minimum of one year.
