CASE: Daniel Robinson – AKA Aurora Nova (Case #23FE008301)

PROSECUTOR: Deputy District Attorney Jenna Brooks, Special Assault & Child Abuse Unit

The Honorable Carlton Davis sentenced Daniel Robinson (AKA Aurora Nova) to 102 years and 4 months to life in prison.  On December 3, 2025, Robinson was convicted of 15 counts of lewd act upon a child, one count of sodomy by force and five counts of lewd act upon a child under 14 years. The jury also found true a multiple victim allegation.

Robinson molested two victims. One victim was 8 years old, and the second victim was 14 years old. Robinson became a trusted adult to the 8-year-old victim and groomed her over the course of a year. He then began to molest her. At the same time, Robinson befriended the second victim and began to engage in sexual acts with her, including forced sodomy. Both victims later disclosed the sexual abuse.

Under current California law, Robinson (age 38) will become eligible for release at an Elder Parole hearing after serving 20 years of the 102-years to life prison sentence.  With in-custody credits, that will be in approximately 17½  years.
