Nazra Dance Bertelli was convicted by a jury of 10 counts of forcible lewd acts upon a child.
Bertelli sexually, physically and emotionally abused a 3-year-old child starting in 2011. The abuse continued for years until the victim disclosed the abuse to a friend. That friend told her mother, who notified law enforcement. Sheriff’s detectives found evidence on Bertelli’s phone including searches for pornography and photos depicting sexualized images of teen and pre-teen girls. During trial, witnesses testified to Bertelli’s past sexual conduct.
Bertelli faces a maximum sentence of 100 years in prison. Sentencing is set for January 5, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. in Department 29 before the Honorable Delbert Oros.
