CASE: Holga Olivares (Case #22FE017297)

PROSECUTOR: Deputy District Attorney Brandon Jack, Special Assault & Child Abuse Unit

The Honorable Carlton Davis sentenced Holga Olivares to 364 days in jail and 2 years formal probation after Olivares pled to a court offer of felony child taking and misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor. In addition, 4 years of county jail prison will be suspended for successful completion of probation.

On May 18, 2020, a 15-year-old child ran away from home and went to Olivares’ house where his girlfriend lived. Olivares proceeded to actively conceal the child for approximately 21 months until he returned home on March 11, 2022. During that time, Olivares continuously lied to law enforcement about the whereabouts of the child. At the time, Olivares was a teacher at a Sacramento school and a mandated reporter.
