On June 30, 2022, Nehemiah Watson was convicted by a jury of nine counts of child sexual assault. The jury also found true multiple aggravating factors.
Between 2013 and 2016, Watson molested three young girls. Watson sexually abused one victim when she was between 6 and 8 years old, the second victim when she was between the age of 5 and 6 years old and the third victim when she was 12 to 13 years old. Watson threatened the third victim that if she told someone about the abuse he would harm a member of her family.
Watson faces a maximum sentence of 24 years in prison. Sentencing is set for August 2, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. in Department 40 before the Honorable Steve White.
