Chue Vang was convicted by a jury of child molestation and annoy or molest of a child. The jury also found true the victim was particularly vulnerable.
On August 25, 2020, Chue Vang repeatedly came up behind the victim and inappropriately touched her. Vang also grabbed the victim by her hips and thrust into her body. The victim was logged into her Zoom special education class at the time. Alert teachers and class aides saw the assaults and immediately reported it to authorities.
Vang faces a maximum sentence of 8 years in prison. Sentencing is set for April 22, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. in Department 32 before the Honorable James Arguelles.
