Defendant Pleads to Three Counts of Lewd Acts with a Minor

Anthony Martinez pled to one count of forcible lewd acts with a minor and two counts of lewd acts with a minor.

Martinez sexually abused a 9-year-old girl between November 1, 2020 and March 1, 2021. Law enforcement was contacted when the victim disclosed the abuse to family friend and former neighbor. Martinez initially denied the allegations, but later admitted to them. Martinez blamed his methamphetamine use a factor that contributed to his behavior.

Martinez will be sentenced to 15 years in prison.  Sentencing is set for November 10, 2021, at 1:35 p.m. in Department 61 before the Honorable John Winn.
