CASE: Miguel Torresvera (Case #19FE017912)

The Honorable Ernest Sawtelle sentenced Miguel Torresvera to 63 years to life in prison. On May 20, 2021, a jury convicted Torresvera of 13 counts of committing a lewd and lascivious act on a child, two counts of committing a lewd and lascivious act on a child using force, and one count of aggravated sexual assault on a child.  The jury also found true allegations of substantial sexual conduct and multiple victims.

On July 1, 2019, a victim disclosed that Torresvera sexually assaulted her when she was between the ages of 6 and 10 years old.  The assaults occurred approximately 30 times over the course of several years.  Torresvera sexually assaulted another victim when she was between the ages of 4 and 8 years old.  Torresvera used physical violence and verbal threats to get her to comply with his demands. Those assaults also occurred approximately 30 times over the course of several years.
