DATE: May 20, 2021

CASE: Edward Marin (Case #20FE006546)

PROSECUTOR: Deputy District Attorney Dinah Mielke, Special Assault & Child Abuse Unit

Edward Marin was convicted by a jury of 32 counts of child sexual assault charges.  The jury also found true substantial sexual conduct and more than one victim allegations.

Marin committed a number of different sex assaults against the two victims over a span of many years, multiple times a week. When one of the victims was a junior in high school, she told a friend about the abuse. That friend ultimately wrote a note to the school social worker the following school year to report the victim was being abused. The social worker then reported the crimes to police.
