CASE:  Jason Hook (19FE017523)

PROSECUTOR:  Deputy District Attorney Dinah Mielke, Special Assault & Child Abuse Unit

Jason Hook pleaded no contest to one count of attempted lewd act on a child under 14 years old, two counts of committing a lewd act on a child under 14 years old, three counts of oral copulation on a child under 10 years old, and one count of committing a lewd act on a child 14 or 15 years old.

Jason Hook knew all of the victims and repeatedly sexually abused them beginning in 2010.  The victims ranged in age from 7 to 15 years old during the time of the abuse. Hook would sexually assault the victims during what he would refer to as “garage nights.”  Hook would tell the victims to pinky swear promises of secrecy, and that the repercussion for breaking a pinky promise was to have your pinky cut off.

Hook faces a maximum sentence of 75 years to life in prison.  Sentencing is set for June 24, 2020, at 8:30 a.m. in Department 63 before the Honorable Jaime Roman.
