Defendant Convicted of Murder at Motel

Michael Nunally was convicted by a jury of the first-degree murder of Kaster Tezino and the jury also found that Nunally used a firearm in the commission of that murder.

Michael Nunally was seeking revenge for an assault he believed the victim committed.  On September 25, 2012, Nunally lured the victim to a motel on Arden Way.  Nunally engaged the victim in small talk and when the victim turned to walk away, Nunally shot the victim in the back, killing him.

Nunally faces a maximum sentence of 50 years to life in prison.  Sentencing is set for April 10, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. in Department 15 before the Honorable Kevin McCormick.
