National Night Out (NNO) is Tuesday, August 6, 2019.  NNO is a once-a-year opportunity for citizens, members of public safety, neighborhood watch groups, civic associations, businesses, community organizations and local officials to come together and celebrate safe neighborhoods as well as promote partnerships aimed at preventing crime.

Members of the District Attorney’s Community Prosecution Unit will be attending events in the neighborhoods they serve. Representatives from the office will also join their public safety colleagues and neighbors at events across the region.  A District Attorney information table will be available at the South Oak Park/Fruitridge Pocket Fair at Jack Davis Park and at Shasta Park near Cosumnes College.

District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert states, “I encourage Sacramento County citizens to join members of our office and other public safety agencies at a NNO party this year.  This night provides a unique opportunity to strengthen relationships among residents and those who work to protect them as well as send a unified message that neighborhoods are working together to prevent crime.”

For more information about neighborhood events, please contact your local law enforcement agency, homeowner or neighborhood association.
