Defendant Convicted of Sexually Assaulting 5 Year Old

Kevin Bailey was convicted by a jury of two counts of committing forcible acts of child sexual assault on a child under 14 years of age.
From 2014 through 2015, Bailey sexually assaulted a friend’s daughter when the child was 5 years old. DNA evidence corroborated the victim’s descriptions of the assaults committed against her.
Bailey faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for August 22, 2018, in Department 41 before the Honorable Helena Gweon.
