Vehicle Theft Unit

The Vehicle Theft Unit is responsible for reviewing and prosecuting serious vehicle theft crimes, including but not limited to:

• carjackings;
• "chop shops";
• three-strikes vehicle thefts;
• vehicle thefts involving high-speed chases resulting in injury or death; and
• vehicle thefts committed by individuals who have already been twice convicted of vehicle theft.
