The
State Targeted Offenses Program (STOP) combines state-mandated
programs into one division within the District Attorney's Office. The
division combines similar functions and was created to maximize effectiveness
through vertical prosecution teams and specialized training. STOP is comprised
of five individual units—prison crimes, vehicle theft, mental health
litigation, public assistance fraud and parental child abduction.
