District Attorney Jan Scully announced today that her office will not file
criminal charges in two incidents involving Sacramento Kings player Mike
Bibby and members of his entourage known as “Team Dime.”
The incident that occurred on September 12, 2005, at the MoMo Lounge
involved conflicting witness statements, no clear identification of the
alleged perpetrator, and conflicting evidence as to who was the instigator
and who was acting in self-defense. The overwhelming weight of the evidence
indicates that Mike Bibby was not personally involved in the altercation.
The other incident occurred on September 2, 2005, at the Blue Cue.
Conflicting witness statements in that case make it impossible to establish
that any particular person committed a crime.
