The District Attorney’s Office filed one felony count of violation of Vehicle Code Section 20001(a), Leaving the Scene of an Injury Accident, against Sacramento Police Officer Jason March at his arraignment this morning.

The California Highway Patrol's Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) has not completed their accident reconstruction and investigation with respect to potential felony charges of Driving Under the Influence and Vehicular Manslaughter. Once that investigation is complete a comprehensive review of the all of the evidence will be conducted.

Due to the fact that the investigation is on-going this will be the only statement we issue until the conclusion of the investigation and any further filing decision.
