Brian Hintz Prosecutor of
the Year Award

District Attorney Jan Scully
announced today that this year’s prestigious Brian Hintz Prosecutor
of the Year Award was given to Marjorie Koller Durenberger.
Each year the Sacramento County
District Attorney’s Office recognizes one of their own to receive the
Brian Hintz Prosecutor of the Year Award. This award is presented annually
to a prosecutor who has performed his or her duties with the same qualities
exhibited by Brian Hintz as a deputy district attorney: Outstanding
job performance, enthusiasm, team work and integrity.
Marje is a graduate of Lincoln
Law School and she is a fourteen-year veteran prosecutor of the Sacramento
County District Attorney’s Office. The bulk of her career has been
devoted to prosecuting violent offenders. She has worked in the sexual
assault, domestic violence, career criminal and homicide units where
she has daily labored to give victims of violent crime a voice in the
criminal justice system.
Jan Scully described Marjorie
Koller Durenberger as, “a passionate and dedicated prosecutor who tirelessly
fights to make our community a safer place to live.”
