Teens will be having a fun party in a safe place at Waterworld USA
Saturday, July 20th from 4 pm to 9 p.m.
The event's rules are simple: no weapons, no drugs or alcohol and no
arguments. Lots of fun activities are planned in addition to the water
slides. Various interactive educational booths designed to teach teens
about such things as the dangers of drugs and alcohol, domestic violence,
bicycle and boating safety, electrical safety and the blight that graffiti
presents in our community will be present. Free hot dogs have been donated
for teens. Many donated prizes including a 30" color television,
bicycles and helmets, and gift certificates will be awarded to youths
who participate in the educational opportunities.
Tickets may be purchased beforehand for $5 at Arden Fair Mall, Florin
Mall, the North Area Teen Center or at Waterworld USA for $9.99. Free
RT tickets to and from Waterworld USA for this one night event will
be available where tickets are sold.
District Attorney Jan Scully and representatives from the Probation
Department, Police Department, Sheriff's Department, California Highway
Patrol, the Attorney General's Office, the National Guard, and other
public and private partners, will be available to the press as they
kick off this unique event at the fountain near the entrance to Waterworld
USA on July 20th at 4:00 p.m.
