Kurt Chilcott was convicted by a jury of nine counts of sexual assault on a child 10 years old or younger, eight counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14, and one count of annoying or molesting a child with the allegation that Chilcott has a prior conviction for child sexual assault.
Chilcott was required to register as a sex offender after being convicted in 1992 of sexually assaulting three girls in Sonoma County. The victims in that case ranged in age from 8 to 11 years old. In the current case, Chilcott sexually assaulted a family member when she was 8 to 11 years old from 2014 to 2016.
Chilcott faces a maximum sentence of 131 years to life in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for October 27, 2017, at 9:00 a.m. in Department 20 before the Honorable Michael Bowman.
