Woman Sentenced for Stealing Wallets, ID Theft

The Honorable Michael Bowman sentenced Jasmine Moore-Grant to 21 years county jail prison, of which she was ordered to serve 13 years in custody and 8 years on mandatory supervision.  Moore-Grant previously pled to one felony count of second-degree burglary, 24 felony counts of identity theft, and admitted to two prison priors. 

In July and August of 2015, Moore-Grant entered office buildings during business hours and stole wallets from employees who were away from their desks.  She then repeatedly used and attempted to use more than a dozen victims’ credit cards to make purchases at local stores.  She completed over 90 fraudulent transactions causing more than $7,000 in loss.  

Moore-Grant has a prior criminal history of multiple theft and identity theft offenses.
