This year’s National Night Out (NNO) is Tuesday, August 2, 2016. NNO is a once-a-year opportunity for citizens, members of public safety, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials to come together in solidarity and celebration of community safety.
District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert will join her public safety colleagues at NNO events to strengthen relationships among neighborhood residents and those who work to serve and protect them. Representatives from the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office will also join law enforcement agencies and community members in activities across the region.
Neighborhood NNO parties have a wide range of family friendly activities, including barbeques, ice cream socials and pool parties. Not only is NNO a fun night for all, it heightens awareness about crime prevention and generates community support and participation in local anti-crime efforts.
For more information about neighborhood events, please contact your local law enforcement agency, homeowner or neighborhood association.
