Sex Offender Convicted for Multiple Child Sexual Assault Charges

Fifty-five-year-old James Hill was convicted by a jury of four counts of committing lewd acts upon a child.  Three prior strike allegations were also found true for three separate counts of committing lewd acts upon a child in 1996.  Hill has been registering as a sex offender since that time.

Between January 2014 and March 2014, Hill was residing with family members at their home in Del Paso Heights.  During that time, Hill cornered the young victim in their home and sexually assaulted her on five separate occasions.  In March 2014, the victim disclosed the assaults to one of her family members. 

Hill faces a maximum potential sentence of 20 years, plus 300 years to life in prison.  Sentencing is set for August 12, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. in Department 27 before the Honorable Delbert Oros.
