Sex Offender Convicted of 9 Child Sexual Assault Charges

PROSECUTOR:  Deputy District Attorney Monica Robinson, Special Assault & Child Abuse Unit

Forty-five-year-old Glen Dale Lemons was convicted by jury of 9 counts of committing lewd acts with a child under 14 years of age, including two counts of committing lewd acts with a child under 14 years old by force.  The molestation occurred in Sacramento, Placer and Sutter County.

From 2000 to 2014, Lemons molested two female family members and two extended female family members when they were 4 to 11 years old.  He would touch the girls when their parents were not in the same room and when the girls were asleep.  Lemons has a history dating back to 1991 of exposing himself in front of young girls, soliciting a minor to commit sex acts and possessing child pornography.  He has been to prison five times since 1990 and has been a sex offender registrant since 1994.

Lemons faces a maximum potential sentence of 170 years to life in prison.  Sentencing is set for May 13, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. in Department 13 before the Honorable Matthew Gary.
