PROSECUTOR: Deputy District Attorney Matt Chisholm, Adult Sexual Assault Prosecution Unit
Thirty-three-year-old Miguel Ramirez was convicted by jury of 12 counts of sexual assault including continuous sexual abuse, committing lewd acts upon a child, unlawful sexual intercourse with a victim more than three years younger, oral copulation of a person under 18, and attempt to commit sodomy with a person under 18.
Ramirez molested a friend’s daughter starting from when she was 13 years old until she was 16 years old. The victim’s mother discovered the abuse when she returned home unexpectedly.
Ramirez faces a sentence of 22 years, 8 months in prison. Sentencing is set for May 13, 2016, at 8:30 a.m. in Department 21 before the Honorable Steve White.
