CASE: Andre Oroy Sr.
PROSECUTOR: Deputy District Attorney Bruce Chang, Special Assault & Child Abuse Unit
District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert announced today that Andre Oroy Sr. was convicted by jury of two counts of committing a lewd and lascivious act upon a child.
Oroy molested a 3-year-old female family member. The conduct occurred when Oroy was babysitting the victim while her mother was at work. The victim in this case is the third family member to be molested by Oroy.
Oroy faces a maximum potential sentence of 25 years in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for September 9, 2015, in Department 17 before the Honorable Ernest Sawtelle.
