PROSECUTOR: Deputy District Attorney Satnam Rattu, Targeting Armed Recidivist Gangsters Enforcement Team (TARGET)
District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert announced today that the Honorable Delbert Oros sentenced Isaiah Thompson and Michael Lark to 11 years, 4 months in prison. On February 6, 2015, a jury convicted Thompson of being a felon in possession of a firearm and delaying a peace officer. Lark was convicted of felony evading and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Lark and Thomas are validated Oak Park Bloods. On October 2, 2013, Lark was driving and Thomas was the passenger in the car. Lark led officers on a pursuit that covered approximately 10 miles and reached speeds up to 90 miles per hour on surface streets. During the chase, a firearm was thrown from the vehicle and recovered by the Sacramento Police Department.
The pursuit ended when Lark lost control of the car and collided with another vehicle. After the collision, both Lark and Thomas attempted to flee on foot but were apprehended.
