PROSECUTOR: Deputy District Attorney Bruce Chang, Special Assault & Child Abuse Unit
District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert announced today that Michael Lee Brombacker was convicted by jury of 26 counts of child molestation.
The case involved three victims who were abused between 1998 and 2010. Brombacker molested a female family member between 1998 and 2003, when she was between the ages of 10 and 14. He molested a different female family member from 2007 to 2010, when she was between 10 and 13 years old in Sacramento and Calaveras counties. He also molested the young daughter of a family friend between 2003 and 2004.
Brombacker faces a maximum potential sentence in excess of 300 years to life in state prison. Sentencing is set for April 17, 2015 in Department 15 before the Honorable Kevin McCormick.
