CASE: James Coker
PROSECUTOR: Deputy District Attorney Maria Wilson, Domestic Violence Unit
District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert announced today that James Coker was convicted by jury of three counts of assault with a deadly weapon; inflicting domestic abuse and the allegation of inflicting great bodily injury in the commission of that crime; and making a criminal threat and the allegation of using a knife in the commission of that crime.
Coker used a bat, hammer and knife in his assaults against two female victims.
Coker faces a maximum potential sentence of 26 years, 8 months in state prison. Sentencing is set for March 13, 2015 in Department 25 before Honorable Robert M. Twiss.
