CASE: Gordon Allen Wilson
PROSECUTOR: Deputy District Attorney Quirina Orozco, Special Assault & Child Abuse Unit
District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert announced today that the Honorable Shellyanne Chang sentenced Gordon Allen Wilson to 27 years in state prison. On November 14, 2014, a jury convicted Wilson of 13 counts of lewd and lascivious acts against a child under 14 years of age.
Between 2002 and 2003, Wilson befriended his neighbors and grew close to their 8-year-old daughter. Over several months, he engaged in sexual acts with the child. The parents became aware of Wilson’s actions after their daughter disclosed that he had exposed himself to her in their vehicle following a family dinner. She also described portions of a pornographic video that she saw on Wilson’s computer while sitting on his lap. Detectives from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department later located the video on Wilson’s computer following a forensic analysis.
