Fired Employee Sentenced to 14+ Years for ID Theft in Two Counties

Thirty-one-year-old Natashia Adams Lugo pled no contest to four felony counts of identity theft and admitted to a prior attempted robbery strike conviction. The Honorable Michael Bowman sentenced Lugo consecutive to a Placer County identify theft case for an aggregate term of 14 years, 8 months in state prison.

Lugo was an employee of the Job Journal, LLC.  After she was fired in February 2014, she used Job Journal’s bank checking and routing numbers to pay more than $40,000 of her own debt.  She also used Job Journal’s bank account information to fraudulently fund $17,200 worth of payments into her own child support account.

After Lugo was fired from another job at Balanced Body in June 2014, she fraudulently used the personal identifying information of Balanced Body and some of its customers to steal more than $11,000.
