Defendant Convicted for Multiple Child Sexual Assaults

CASE:  Anthony Johnson (Case #16FE015230)

PROSECUTOR:  Deputy District Attorney Patrick Foster, Special Assault & Child Abuse Unit

Anthony Johnson was convicted by a jury of 16 counts of committing a lewd act upon a child, three counts of forcible lewd act upon a child and one count of adult using a minor.

On April 8, 2016, law enforcement was notified that the victim had been sexually assaulted by Johnson.  When the victim was later interviewed, he reported a long history of sexual abuse by Johnson.    

When law enforcement arrested Johnson for these reported assaults, they learned of another victim who had made a prior 2011 report that she had been sexually assaulted by Johnson in the City of San Pablo. 

Johnson faces a maximum sentence of 46 years in prison.  Sentencing is set for March 9, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. in Department 33 before the Honorable Michael Savage.
