in Homeless Camp

DATE:  November 6, 2019

CASE:  Chue Xiong (Case #18FE020554)

PROSECUTOR:  Principal Criminal Attorney Caroline Park, Homicide Unit

Chue Xiong was convicted by a jury of the first-degree murder of Mario Perez-Arzola, attempted murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm.  It was also found that Xiong used a firearm in the commission of the murder and attempted murder and that he had previously been convicted of a felony strike offense, first-degree residential burglary.

On October 18, 2018, Chue Xiong approached one of the victims in a homeless camp and demanded to know where someone was while holding the victim at gunpoint.
