Psychotherapist Sentenced for Sexual Battery & Exploitation

The Honorable Cheryl Meegan sentenced 72-year-old Marvin Todd to 9 months county jail. He was also placed on 3 years formal probation and will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. Restitution and a no contact order were made for the victims.

On October 5, 2015, a jury convicted Todd of sexual battery, sexual exploitation, and battery in separate assaults against two patients.

On February 17, 2014, Todd touched the breast of a female patient without her consent during a psychotherapy session.  On March 13, 2014, Todd walked a second female patient into the lobby after an evening counseling session and forcibly kissed her. The victim attempted to push him away, but was unsuccessful. When Todd forcibly kissed her again, the victim was able to push him off and break his hold.
